Old Schoolhouse Plantery still continuing business

Unusual plants, succulents, cacti and for your home. I offer cuttings (unrooted/rooted), plants and divisions.

This is the final year for the greenhouse and plant business, offering plants at reasonable prices.

The greenhouse won't be officially open but visitors to the greenhouse are welcome, by chance or by appointment, please see Facebook link for contact info, either through FaceBook or email on the main page. With thanks to my customers for all your support and business, whether online or in person!

The recent loss of my husband John has been devastating to me. Our small business over the years has created interest in our plants and in the more unusual and delicious vegetables he grew, many of them heirloom varieties. John had a horticultural degree and was very generous with his knowledge of plants. With his passing I am unable to continue the farming side of the business, but am able to manage the plant side for the foreseeable future. John attended markets every weekend, 48 Saturdays a year. The market for the summer season is being run differently, as in order and pick up at the site due to the pandemic and this method will not work for the plants. The greenhouse is open to the public from now until Fall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and what happens in Winter will be appraised as to whether I will attend the Winter market. A lot of my attention currently will be towards online sales, for those not local to me to be able to buy plants. John loved the rare amd interesting plants and collected and propagated many of them over the last 25+ years. I'm trying to pay tribute to all of his hard work, I was his "bat man" in that I managed the greenhouse while he both worked a f/t job and did his farming. I have a fair amount of knowlege about the plants we have but I will likely never have the sheer amount of knowledge he had, it was his life's work, that he never saw as work:)

I will be listing an array of plants very shortly. If you are local to Brattleboro you may contact me (using the contact button for direct email to me) if you're interested in any particular plant/s. It would be useful if you could copy and paste the links to plant/s in your message so we can arrange for you to collect them and for payment method (either for me to invoice you through Paypal or pay when you pick up from the greenhouse). I've had a query from a customer about where our greenhouse is (my bad for not putting the detalis here!). If you'd like to visit I'm open Fri, Sat and Sun each week until Fall (I envisage until Octoberl) from 10am until 6pm at 350 Hinesburg Road, Brattleboro, VT.  Turn onto Greenleaf Street from Rte 9 and travel 1.5 miles straight, the greenhouse is on the left. Other times/days can be arranged to visit please contact me so we can set something up.

And so begins my dfferent journey....

Thanks for your interest!:)

That is good news, hope to see your business grow. My mother-in-law also loves plants. Her garden is full of different plants and flowers. She even grew some vegetables in our backyard.

By the way, if you are looking for a game to play during your free time, try this one. I'm playing it too and it is awesome.
